Our Pottery Studio the only one of it's kind in Carteret County, North Carolina. Featuring 12 wheels, a slab roller and kilns, the pottery studio is equipped to bring out the ceramic artist in you. From hand building to wheel throwing, our instruction is fundamental as well as creative. Our range of classes are presented for the beginner to the advanced potter. Come and get dirty with us.

A fully instructed class where students will learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing as they make bowls, vases, plates, platters, and closed forms. Skills taught will include centering, throwing, finishing, and glazing techniques. This class is for the student who has always wanted their "ghost" moment.

Ages 10-18
Throw some ... slab some. It's all about mud (the common term for clay in the pottery world). Led by potter, Mel Jackson, students will work on the fundamentals of wheel throwing making vessels and more. Slab work (hand building) and cold finishing will teach the student alternatives to the wheel. Try it ... you'll like it!
A tester teaser class for students who want to try their hand at pottery. During this two hour class, the student will learn how to use the wheel, center the clay and make a cylinder. The student then has the choice of making an additional cylinder or using the slab roller in order to create a hand built piece. A perfect way to spend a couple of hours trying pottery!
